It is with much regret to advise everyone CMDR SDSU W. L.G. “TUG” WILSON, OAM, MBE, RAN Rtd. passed away the morning of 18th July 2019.
Tug joined as an AB Writer and rose to Commander. He is remembered as a gentleman and for his work ethic. Always willing to help anyone, when I was a junior officer he was my mentor when we served together on FOCEA's staff. Smooth sailing Tug.

A fine man. Always approachable he encouraged the best out of his staff who valued his professionalism, beyond knowing the rules and regulations to apply. If someone was given a task which challenged any proper discharge of it, he would always tell them to come back to give them guidance to surmount it. Very quiet and low-key. In short, he gave of his best so that those under him could attain the confidence and knowledge to do their best.
