FAREWELL COCKTAIL PARTY FOR MR STEPHEN DAWSadded by Erinn Ceacis email

Steve Daws, retired from the Australian Public Service on 20 March 2008 after 39 years, three months and two weeks of service to the Department of Defence. Steve began his career in the Royal Australian Navy at just 16 years old on 06 January 1969 aboard HMAS LEEUWIN and he has since remained a committed employee of the Department of Defence. Steve has archived many great successes in the roles he has undertaken during his time at the Department of Defence, some of which are; successfully managing the logistics of the Seahawk during the Gulf War, the design and establishment of the Exports Advisory Group as the centre of expertise for guidance and advice to Defence and Industry, the successful management of a >$60 million contract for the delivery of Voice Services nationwide and of course his role as Manager, Communication and Customer Management where his position focused on improving customer service in Information and Communications Technologies Defence wide. Steve is well known for his caring nature, professionalism, genuine persona and overall enthusiastic attitude towards his job and willingness to assist his colleagues when ever he can. To mark this occasion, a farewell cocktail party has been organised for 1700 h Wednesday, 16 April 2008. The cocktail party will be held at the Officers Mess HMAS HARMAN. We welcome all those who worked with Steve or who were otherwise associated with him during his career within Defence. The cost for the cocktail party will be $15.00 per head. AIRCREWMAN'S REUNION The Aircrewman's Reunion will be held on Saturday 25 October at HMAS ALBATROSS Senior Sailors Mess for ALL Ranks in the form of a Cocktail Party commencing at 1900 for 1930. Dress will be, serving members - Red Sea Rig and for ex members - Neat Casual. If you are looking at attending the reunion and require motel accommodation or a caravan park in the local area then you will need to get in early.
