Mark 75 - 76mm/62 Calibre (3" Gun)

 
A lightweight, rapid fire 3" Gun. Currently used on our 6 'Oliver Hazard Perry' Class FFGs. It has good performance and requires little manpower. Designed by OTO Melara in Italy. First used in the USN in 1978.

It is single barrelled and lightweight. Water cooled, capable of rapid fire. Dual purpose. (Surface/air). It has a range of 10 nautical miles and is fully automatic and remote controlled. It is capable of firing 80 rounds per minute.
